About the property:
Redbank is situated 20klm South of Wodonga and 25 klm from Rutherglen, the Wine Region of North East Victoria.
The property consists of 135 acres and has a 3 klm Murray River frontage.
About the herd:
We have been involved with Red Angus since 1989 starting with the purchase of six heifers.
Our first bull was purchased from Moorwatha. Over the years our cattle have been sourced from Jillanglo, Merrigrange, and Oakleigh Park dispersal and the Red Angus National. In more recent years AI. and Embryo programs have helped improve our herd. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our embryos purchased at the 2008 Nationals. As we have a trucking business I don't have the time to prepare our animals for shows and find the on farm challenge of great benefit as it allows us to compare our animals with others all over Victoria.
Times have been tough over the last eight years due to drought, but in recent months we have had good sales of all animals.
